Diversity and ethics in the use of counselling skills is covered. Finally, the counselling skills and personal development unit will give you the opportunity to reflect on your own personal and future development. This can help you to see how personal qualities are relevant to helping roles.

What qualification will you get?
You’ll be awarded the NCFE level 1 (RQF) substance misuse awareness (501/0255/2) qualification after you’ve successfully finished on the distance learning course. It’s a nationally recognised qualification.
One of the benefits of the course qualification and other RQFcourses that we offer is that learners can transfer credit from one qualification to another. Learners who’ve already achieved one or more of the units (in these RQF qualifications) can transfer the credit already achieved.
